Job summary

COX Architecture, a design-focused contemporary architectural practice, invites an Assistant Accountant to join our National Finance team. You will handle a range of financial activities from monthly closings to BAS, and maintain Power BI dashboards for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Deltek VantagePoint or similar ERP experience is a plus.
• Power BI experience is preferred.
• Excellent MS Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and year-end accounts.
• Review and reconcile project and branch profit & loss statements.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly BAS and tax reporting as required.
• Maintain and update Power BI dashboards for reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
• Maintain company and trust registrations and compliance.
• Process supplier payments and manage EFT/bank payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cashflow planning.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and capitalisation reviews.
