National Assistant Accountant: BAS, Cashflow & BI Reporting

Job summary

Cox Architecture in Australia is seeking a National Assistant Accountant to support the National Finance Department across financial and management accounting, banking, cashflows, debtors, fixed assets and accounts payable.

You will prepare monthly and year-end accounts, reconcile project and branch P&L and balance sheet, prepare BAS and maintain Power BI dashboards for timely reporting. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years+ experience working in accounting roles
• Deltek VantagePoint or similar ERP system experience a distinct advantage
• Familiarity with Power BI preferred, but not essential
• Strong reconciliation skills in both accounting & information systems
• Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills
• Be a great team player & collaborator to develop positive relationships with team members

Responsibilities

• The National Assistant Accountant will support Financial & Management Accounting, Banking, Cashflows, Debtors, Fixed Asset Management and Accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly and year-end accounts.
• Review and reconcile project and branch profit & loss statements.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly BAS.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards for reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies and provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
• Maintain company and trust registrations, directors’ records, and compliance requirements.
