Job summary

RPC Technologies Pty Ltd, a leader in advanced composite engineering, seeks an Assistant Accountant to join our Newcastle (Broadmeadow) or Sydney (Seven Hills) office on a full-time permanent basis. You will support day-to-day finance operations and contribute to financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in accounting or finance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Relevant experience in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and supplier setup, reimbursements, petty cash and payments.
• Assist month-end processes including accruals and prepayments journals.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with asset audits.
• Support general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process foreign currency payments and inter-company transactions.
• Support GST, BAS and FBT processes.
• Assist accounts receivable activities including sales orders and debtor collections.
• Support daily cash and banking processes and cashflow updates.
• Provide support on finance projects and ad hoc analysis.
