Job summary

University of New South Wales, Kensington NSW, is seeking a Specialist, Multimedia and AV Technologies to design, deploy and support multimedia and AV systems across the university. The role covers installation, maintenance and education/research support, with an on-site team and a rostered schedule.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline with AV experience.
• Experience in large complex organisations with multiple rooms.
• Strong problem-solving with AV and control systems.
• Experience in planning and managing multimedia solutions in education/research.
• Ability to meet deadlines while coordinating stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current NSW Driver’s License.
• Commitment to UNSW aims, policies and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site guidance and coaching to AV team and manage budgets.
• Carry out minor AV projects and installations.
• Develop services aligned to stakeholder needs and act as Product owner.
• Coordinate multiple projects with contractors and estate management.
• Develop high-level diagnostic skills among team.
• Monitor incidents and improve systems via standards and guidelines.
• Plan maintenance and lifecycle upgrades for teaching spaces.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure high-quality customer service and live help desk coverage.
• Single point of contact for customers across channels.
• Align with UNSW Values and safety policies.
