Job summary

First People Recruitment Solutions in Canberra is seeking an experienced recruiter to support the Multilateral Placements Program (MPP). You will manage multilateral placement recruitment, write candidate packs, handle applications, interview scheduling, and liaise with multilateral agencies across the APS network.

The role requires strong written and interpersonal communication, discretion, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate is highly proficient in recruitment processes and administration, with experience recruiting for the APS.
• Experience in program management and procurement (ODA or non-ODA) would be an advantage.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, adapting your style to the situation and managing information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage multilateral placement recruitment processes, including writing candidate packs and job ads, answering queries, reviewing applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, reference checks, and liaising with multilateral agencies on their recruitment processes.
• Identify and approach prospective candidates (head hunting) as needed.
• Guide hiring managers on process and procedure to ensure recruitment meets APS standards.
• Support Australians placed with multilateral agencies, including regular check-ins and maintaining a forward calendar of administrative milestones for each placement.
• Support MPP grant management, including due diligence, payment processing, procurement, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including multilateral organisations, foreign governments, DFAT desks and posts, and other APS agencies.
• Other duties as required.
