Job summary

seek.com.au seeks an accomplished General Manager to oversee a premium collection of hospitality venues in Melbourne's CBD. You will lead strategy, drive performance, and ensure consistent guest experiences across each concept, with each venue retaining its own identity.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage P&L, budgeting, labour costs and forecasting while mentoring venue managers and culinary leaders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior multi-venue operator.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving financial performance across multiple outlets.
• Hands-on leader able to balance strategic oversight with operational detail.
• Deep understanding of premium service standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple venues within a CBD portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and consistent standards.
• Take ownership of financial results across the collection, including P&L management, budgets, forecasting, labour costs and profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop venue managers and senior teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Champion exceptional hospitality across every concept, ensuring each venue delivers an experience aligned with its individual positioning.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth, improve efficiencies and strengthen overall business performance.
• Build management capability, establish clear performance expectations and develop a strong pipeline of future hospitality leaders.
• Ensure compliance across food safety, workplace health and safety, responsible service of alcohol and employment obligations.
• Encourage collaboration between venue teams, culinary leaders and support functions while preserving the individuality of each offering.
