Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council in Roma, Queensland is inviting applications for a permanent, full-time Quarry Operator. This on-site role offers a 9-day fortnight with a rostered day off and a competitive salary of AUD 67,786.18 to 71,156.67 per year, plus a locality allowance.

Key duties include preparing raw quarry materials, crushing and screening to meet customer demand, loading and dispatch preparation, and operating a range of plant such as Front End Loader, Water Truck, Mobile Crusher, Mobile

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation of raw quarry materials and load into the crushing and screening plant.
• Undertake crushing and screening operations to produce required materials in line with customer demand.
• Unload produced materials and assist in preparation for dispatch.
• Operate and maintain a variety of plant and equipment including Front End Loader, Water Truck, Mobile Crusher, Mobile Screen, Telehandler, Excavator.
• Carry out daily servicing and maintenance for plant and machinery to ensure optimal capacity and minimize downtime.
• Maintain plant records per IMMS and management policies.
• Provide skilled plant operation to assist with maintenance such as repairs and upgrades.
• Operate a variety of handheld tools and machinery as required.
• Undertake general labour duties and participate in multi-skilled team tasks as required.
• Perform work site preparation and clean up.

Key responsibilities

Quarry Operations

• Contributeto the preparation of raw Quarry materials and load into the crushing andscreening plant.
• Undertakecrushing and screening operations to produce required materials, in accordancewith customer demand.
• Unloadproduced materials and contribute to the preparation for dispatch.
• Contributeto the production and site operations through the use of a variety of plant,including Front End Loader, Water Truck, Mobile Crusher, Mobile Screen, Telehandler,Excavator.
• Safelyoperate and maintain Council’s plant and equipment as per the OriginalEquipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and Council’s policies andprocedures.
• Undertakedaily servicing and maintenance for plant, equipment and machinery to ensureoptimal capacity and efficiency levels and to avoid unscheduled operationaldowntime.
• Maintainplant records as per Council’s Integrated Maranoa Management System (IMMS) andplant management policies and procedures
• Provideskilled plant operation to assist with maintenance requirements such asrepairs, renewals and upgrades.
• Operatea variety of handheld tools and machinery as required.

Labour Support

• Undertakegeneral labour duties and participate in multi-skilled team tasks, as required.
• Performwork site preparation and clean up.
