Job summary

MPES Group Aust Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Accountant or Book Keeper for a permanent full-time role based in Smithfield, NSW. You will support financial operations across accounts payable, receivable, payroll support and reconciliations in a structured finance environment.

The role reports to the Finance Manager and offers exposure to multi-entity financial operations within a respected electrical subcontractor busy across NSW.

Qualifications

• 3+ years bookkeeping or Assistant Accountant experience with excellent fundamental knowledge on Accounting.
• Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with MYOB, Xero or similar accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, reimbursements and credit card transactions
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Record bank transactions and perform reconciliations
• Assist with payroll processing and compliance requirements
• Maintain financial records across multiple entities
• Support BAS, PAYG, FBT and payroll tax reporting
• Assist with month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
