Job summary

Breadcrumb is seeking an Accountant to own the general ledgers for our Australian and UK entities, with hands-on bookkeeping across AP, AR, and month-end processes. You will ensure data accuracy and timely reporting while supporting scalable financial foundations for growth.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will drive process improvements, automation, and ad hoc reporting as the business expands, with a focus on accuracy and cross‑border compliance in a fast‑growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with Xero and full-cycle AP/AR.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end processes, and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers for Breadcrumb’s Australian and UK entities (Xero).
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and lodge BAS returns; manage GST obligations.
• Support UK VAT, pension contributions, and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate payroll data inputs and reconciliations via Rippling.
• Maintain accurate financial records, bank feeds, and COA structures.
• Assist with audits and ad hoc reporting; drive process improvements.
