Job summary

CompuTracts Pty Ltd is recruiting a Motorway Systems Engineer for a NSW Government Organisation on a daily rate contract. The role focuses on assuring tunnel infrastructure systems, including maintenance and upgrade programs.

You will oversee technical specifications, ITS, PLC programming and system testing, with interstate travel as required, and hold a four-year degree in System or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrated capability in tunnel operating system designs, ITS, PLC programming, system testing and specifications.
• Willingness to travel interstate on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the development and implementation of tunnel system assurance documentation and maintenance standards.
• Oversee the quality and applicability of technical specifications and input to ensure project outcomes and performance requirements.
• Provide project management: briefs, development, monitoring, and reporting on progress.
• Manage and coordinate asset performance for current and forward years to meet objectives.
• Travel interstate as required to support program delivery.

Ourclient is a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Motorway Systems Engineer to join their team.

The role will manage the assurance effort for critical infrastructure such as tunnel operating systems, including system maintenance and upgrade of projects.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Assist the development and implementation of tunnel system assurance documentation, code of maintenance standards, system enhancements, technical standards, design control, configuration guidelines and reporting guidelines for Tunnel system maintenance works to meet business and legislative requirements
• Oversee the quality and appropriateness of technical specifications and specialist technical input to ensure adherence to project outcomes and performance requirements and facilitate technical problem solving to enable regulatory and compliance obligations and contract performance requirements to be met.
• Project Management skills- Prepare briefs, develop, monitor, and manage projects, and report on progress to evaluate program and project/asset performance for current and forward years to comply with agreed objectives.
• Four year Degree / Tertiary qualification in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated technical capability & extensive professional experience/ knowledge in tunnel operating system designs, ITS, PLC programming, system testing and specifications.
• Possess a valid Australian driver’s license and be willing to travel interstate on occasion.
