Job summary

The Pentarch Group is seeking a Plant Operator for our Morwell pallet site on a permanent full-time basis. You will operate fixed and mobile plant, assist in end-to-end production, and help convert sawn timber into pallets. Day shifts Monday to Friday with paid overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machine operating, labouring or in a production environment is highly desirable.
• A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual is essential.
• Competence in operating specific plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• A forklift license is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of the timber industry is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation of fixed and mobile plant equipment to facilitate the production of wooden pallets.
• Sorting, stacking and strapping timber or finished pallets for processing and delivery.
• General labouring and pallet mill duties including maintaining a clean and debris-free work area.
• Inventory management to ensure a smooth production line with no delays.
• A strong focus on health & safety across all areas of the site.
• Perform daily fixed and mobile plant and equipment pre-start inspections.
• Driving a forklift to move products around site.

We are seeking a Plant Operator to join our Pallet Business based in Morwell on a permanent basis.

• Secure, Full-Time Permanent Position with competitive hourly rate.
• Monday to Friday day shifts with paid overtime as required.

About the Position

We are seekinga Plant Operatorwith a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join us on a Permanent Full-time basis. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you. Join our Pallet site based in Morwell, as we move from its infancy into a new phase for our business. You will complete range of tasks to assist in our production processes and will be involved in end-to-end production, playing a key part in processing sawn timber into pallets. With shifts operating Monday to Friday we are offering a competitive hourly rate + super and paid overtime as required. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Machine operation of both fixed and mobile plant equipment to facilitate the production of wooden pallets.
• Sorting, stacking and strapping timber or finished pallet to process for shipping and delivery.
• General labouring and pallet mill duties including ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis.
• Inventory management to ensure a smooth production line with no delays or hold ups.
• Having a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site.
• Perform daily fixed and mobile plant, and equipment pre-start inspection.
• Driving a forklift to move our products around site.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment is highly desirable.
• A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual is essential.
• Competence in operating specific plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• A strong commitment to safety is essential.
• A forklift license is highly advantageous.
