Job summary

Narangba Express Pallets, part of the Hyne Group, is seeking a Machine Operator to run Viking automated pallet equipment and support pallet production in a safe, efficient manner.

The role offers above‑award wages and opportunities for career development. Day and Afternoon shifts may be available, with a strong focus on teamwork and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence is required.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing or timber settings is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a clean, organized workspace.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Viking automated pallet equipment safely and efficiently.
• Produce pallets, including recycled lumber when required.
• Perform daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
• Follow WHS protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep the Viking machine clean and well-maintained for long-term performance.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production targets.

Your Next Role

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our well-respected business and operate our Viking Automated Pallet Equipment. Viking machines are state-of-the-art machinery with innovative electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC controls, and have been trusted in pallet manufacturing for over 45 years.

With opportunities of Day and Afternoon shift available.

As a Machine Operator, you will:

• Operate and monitor the Viking automated pallet equipment safely and efficiently.
• Produce a variety of pallet types, including the ability to work with recycled lumber where required.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
• Follow all WHS protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Keep the Viking machine clean and well-maintained to ensure long-term performance.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets.

About You

• Current Forklift Licence required.
• Proven experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or timber environment (experience with pallet equipment advantageous).
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to a safe workplace.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in automated pallet production.
