Police Bank is a dynamic mutual bank in Australia, seeking a Settlements & Discharges Officer to join our Fulfilment team in Sydney. You’ll manage end-to-end mortgage settlements and discharges, liaising with solicitors and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate processing.

You’ll bring experience in settlements, discharges or mortgage operations, excellent communication, and a strong eye for detail. A hybrid work model, strong benefits, and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in settlements, discharges, mortgage processing or lending operations.
• Alternatively, experience as a Personal Banker with a strong lending background.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with members and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and navigating multiple systems.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of mortgage settlements and discharges.
• Prepare and process mortgage settlement documentation accurately.
• Manage mortgage discharges and ensure all requirements are completed within required timeframes.
• Liaise with solicitors, conveyancers and third parties regarding settlements and discharges.
• Prepare loan funding documentation and coordinate funding activities.
• Monitor settlement pipelines and proactively resolve any issues that may impact timeframes.
• Provide outstanding support to members and stakeholders throughout the settlement and discharge process.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance across all documentation and processes.
