Job summary

Unity Bank in Sydney (Hybrid WFH) seeks a capable Team Leader to drive end-to-end credit administration from post-approval to settlement and discharge. The role leads a small team, coordinates mortgage settlements and manages government registrations within defined service levels.

You will coach and develop staff, ensuring quality, compliance and continuous improvement while maintaining strong client outcomes in a collaborative, member-focused banking environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in Banking/financial services with track record of coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Solid knowledge of mortgage lending, personal lending, consumer finance, settlements, loan documentation and lifecycle loan management.
• Knowledge of commercial lending and relevant security documentation requirements.
• Strong understanding of loan management systems with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to support operational excellence in document prep and PEXA settlements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications at least at intermediate level; strong administrative skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end post-approval to settlement and discharge processes.
• Manage mortgage settlements and other transactions through PEXA.
• Oversee funding of loans including construction progress payments.
• Monitor inboxes to ensure queries are resolved within SLA targets.
• Lodge FHOG and PPS registrations and coordinate settlements with third parties.
• Ensure post-settlement documentation complies with state requirements and internal systems.
