Job summary

Zone IT Solutions is seeking a Monitoring Consultant in Sydney to design and implement monitoring across applications using Splunk and Dynatrace. You will build dashboards, configure alerts, and establish thresholds and notification channels to reduce noise and improve reliability.

You will also provide guidance on best practices for monitoring, assist application teams with onboarding, and educate squads on effectively using dashboards and alerts.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring alerts and reports.
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Consultation on synthetic monitoring aspects.

Responsibilities

• Engage with application teams to understand monitoring requirements and assist with onboarding.
• Design and develop operational dashboards in Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Configure and maintain alerts based on application and infrastructure requirements. Reduce alert noise by refining alert logic and escalation criteria.
• Define thresholds, anomaly detection rules, and notification channels.
• Develop Splunk searches, reports, and queries.
• Provide education session to the squads to enable them to use these dashboards and alerts effectively.
