Job summary

Talenza is seeking an Observability Engineer to advance our Dynatrace-driven monitoring across complex, enterprise-scale environments in Sydney. This hands-on contract role focuses on maturing how we monitor, diagnose and improve reliability of critical platforms, collaborating with infrastructure, cloud and development teams.

You'll design and tune Dynatrace deployments, build meaningful dashboards, and reduce alert noise while embedding observability into delivery practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Dynatrace experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience configuring OneAgent, dashboards, alerting and service monitoring.
• Ability to translate telemetry into operational insights.
• Broad infra knowledge across cloud, OS, networks, apps and DBs.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Azure/AWS, CI/CD or IaC is valuable.
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and optimise Dynatrace across complex environments.
• Build dashboards, service flows, alerting and reporting for stakeholders.
• Tune monitoring across cloud, on-prem, containers, middleware and databases.
• Use Dynatrace features like OneAgent, Davis AI, DQL, and SLOs.
• Investigate performance and capacity issues to identify root cause.
• Reduce alert noise and improve incident detection and response.
• Embed observability into delivery and operational practices.
• Drive standards and documentation for broader monitoring capability.
