Job summary

Calvary Health Care is seeking a Support Worker to assist clients with daily living tasks in their homes and communities. The role involves travelling to visit clients across the St George areas, delivering respectful personal care and domestic support, and coordinating with networks to meet client goals.

This permanent part-time position offers flexible hours and days, with opportunities to work at the Day Respite Centre on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or working towards it.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable vehicle and smartphone.
• Effective verbal and written communication with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Proficiency in using technology such as smartphones, email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with general domestic tasks, personal care and meal preparation.
• Provide respite care, social support and transport services.
• Support clients to achieve their goals with a partner network.
• Promote client choice and meaningful routines and activities.
