Job summary

Deteqt Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Mixed-Signal ASIC Lead to own the chip from specification through silicon. You will set tight requirements, manage CMOS design partners, and characterise real-world performance in the lab.

Hands-on bring-up to integration with hardware and firmware teams will shape our sensor product. The role combines design leadership with practical lab work, including measurement automation and interfacing to FPGA/SoC components, to deliver next-generation quantum

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of successful history in mixed-signal ASIC design.
• Experience with CMOS design partners and outsourcing.
• Ability to generate tight specs and verify designs via simulations.
• Hands-on characterisation of CMOS performance in lab.

Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced CMOS design and characterisation projects with partners.
• Generate tight requirements and specs for CMOS designs.
• Verify designs against specifications in simulations.
• Hands-on characterisation of CMOS performance at bench.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to integrate ASICs.
• Support migration of FPGA functions to future CMOS/SoC designs.
• Design, build/purchase and operate interfaces to CMOS ASICs for testing.
• Contribute to FPGA controller programming of mixed-signal CMOS chips.
