Location: Adelaide (on‑site / hybrid considered)

We are working with a well established technology organisation in Adelaide that is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Manager to take technical ownership of complex ASIC programs from concept through to volume production.

This is a senior technical leadership role, suited to someone who acts as the Technical Director of an ASIC project, providing clear direction, sound decision‑making, and deep hands‑on expertise across the full ASIC lifecycle.

The Role

As ASIC Design Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a complete, production‑ready ASIC that meets all functional, performance, reliability, yield, and lifetime requirements. You will provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams and ensure the ASIC flow, processes, and tools are fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Technical Director for ASIC programs, owning end‑to‑end technical delivery
• Lead ASIC development from requirements definition through to volume production
• Ensure the final ASIC meets specification across function, fit, reliability, lifetime, and yield
• Provide technical direction and make critical design and flow decisions
• Define and implement appropriate process and tool flows for each project
• Maintain a broad and deep understanding of each function within the ASIC development flow
• Collaborate closely with architecture, design, verification, physical design, test, and manufacturing teams
• Identify and manage technical risks across the ASIC lifecycle

About You

• 15+ years' experience in ASIC design and delivery
• Proven experience leading full ASIC flows, from concept to production
• Strong system level understanding with the ability to dive deep into technical detail when required
• Demonstrated leadership in setting technical direction and guiding teams
• Strong decision making skills and a pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset
