Job summary

Nu Quantum is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design high-performance analogue and mixed-signal circuitry for quantum networking hardware. You will work with mechanical, software, FPGA, optics, and physics teams from concept to lab testing and deployment of prototypes.

Responsibilities include designing circuits to meet tight performance criteria, testing prototypes, and ensuring integration across the company’s electronic systems. Collaboration and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in electronics, physics or closely-related subject.
• Industry experience or PhD in analogue electronic design.
• Experience with PCB design tools, including design for manufacture and reliability.
• Experience with electronic and/or electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Ability to perform hands-on testing and experimentation using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and similar equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and be a great team player, working with multidisciplinary teams to meet demanding specifications.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to refine electronics system requirements.
• Perform design calculations and simulations; select components and equipment.
• Create high-quality schematics, system designs and PCB layouts.
• Organise manufacture of prototypes.
• Hands-on testing, debugging and improvements of electronic/optical setups.
• Analyze experimental data and maintain design records.
• Support use of electronic systems across the company.
