Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead ICT infrastructure operations in a 24/7 environment, spanning on‑prem Data Centre and hybrid-cloud. You will provide hands‑on technical leadership, design and implement infrastructure solutions, and mentor engineers to ensure secure, resilient services for emergency communications.

The role requires a tertiary IT qualification, strong Microsoft 365/Azure experience, VMware, Citrix, and PowerShell skills, plus ITIL and

Competenze

A relevant tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline and a current Microsoft certification, or equivalent experience.
At least five years’ hands-on infrastructure engineering and operations, including 24/7 ICT environments.
Experience across Microsoft 365 and Microsoft infrastructure, VMware virtualisation, enterprise storage, server infrastructure, backup and recovery, and Citrix.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring, security tooling, automation and scripting (PowerShell).
Demonstrated experience in change management, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and mentor technical team members.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
ITIL certification or experience working within an ITIL environment.
Experience working within security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, ACSC Essential Eight).
Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.

Manage, monitor and maintain secure, highly available ICT infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving performance, availability and security risks.
Support the design, build and implementation of infrastructure solutions across hybrid-cloud and Data Centre environments, working with architects and technical teams.
Develop and implement asset lifecycle and maintenance plans that keep infrastructure performing, secure and supportable.
Lead the analysis and troubleshooting of complex technical issues, recommending solutions that improve system reliability and performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Maintain technical documentation and operational processes to support effective service delivery and knowledge transfer.
