Job summary

Tecala is seeking a Systems Engineer in Melbourne to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of engineering tasks as directed by management. You will be accountable for the daily operation of customers' back-end systems, including availability and reliability, which are essential to the business's success and overall customer satisfaction.

The role includes deploying Managed Services projects, monitoring toolsets, maintaining security and backups, scripting to improve efficiency, and contributing

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ICT support services for MSPs or system integrators.
• Industry experience in third-level engineering and ICT project delivery.
• Solid understanding of the ITIL framework.
• Proven time management and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and Reactive Level 3 engineering tasks.
• Delivery of Managed Services projects with assistance from the PMO.
• Monitoring, analysis and review of the available monitoring toolsets.
• Managing and monitor all installed customer systems and infrastructure.
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating system, application and system management tools.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time.
• Process improvement focusing on tools, hardware and software used by the SOC.
• Timely recording of all activities within the company's ITSM platform.
• Occasional presales and service delivery management tasks.
