BUMA Australia is seeking a dedicated Minor Plant Fitter to join our Goonyella maintenance team, performing repairs and refurbishment of surface mining equipment both in the workshop and in the field. You will diagnose electrical, engine and hydraulic issues, conduct pre-start checks, order parts with Maintenance Planners, and work safely under our values-driven framework.

• Working at heights and confined space tickets (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with OEM software and SAP (desirable).
• Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance on light vehicles, medium vehicles, and mining ancillary equipment.
• Repair and servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Scope jobs, order parts, and coordinate with Maintenance Planners.
• Complete pre-start checks on vehicles.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Minor Plant Fitter to join our dynamic maintenance team at Goonyella. In this role, you'll work both in the field and in the workshop, performing a wide range of tasks including the repair, modification, and refurbishment of surface mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance on light vehicles, medium vehicles, and mining ancillary equipment
• Conducting repairs and servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
• Scoping jobs, ordering parts, and working closely with Maintenance Planners
• Completing pre-start checks on vehicles prior to operation
• Diagnosing and resolving issues with electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems
• Acting in accordance with BUMA's Values and Standards of Business Conduct
• Participating in training as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA's Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.

BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
