Job summary

Anglo American in Middlemount, QLD is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, schedule and deliver training while ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory requirements. You will validate training, deliver inductions and coach staff to ensure competence across Capcoal Mine.

The role is a permanent, full-time site position with potential for a 9-day fortnight, with housing/relocation assistance options and a competitive salary tied to safety and learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22 or equivalent) or higher.
• Operational experience within coal mining is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Suite Applications including Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience in driving best practise through your department and into the business; this includes the development and implementation of strategy in line with business goals.
• Experience in assisting with Training departmental budget and expenditure.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy in from key stakeholders.
• Experience in dealing with high volume work during major works e.g. shutdowns
• Ability to be adaptable in changing situations and able to step through the issue using your strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in managing and delivering site-based training requirements and programs.

Responsibilities

• Validate training and assessment compliance of all Coal Mine workers at Capcoal.
• Maintain compliance of the Site Induction and deliver inductions to Employees and Contractors.
• Coach/mentor employees and contractors to develop relevant skills/experience and ensure training, competence, and authorisation.
• Enforce the Coal Mine Training and Competence Scheme and Training Process.
• Review training performance for continuous improvement of procedures and processes.
• Utilise LMS to maintain site compliance and governance across the mine.
• Engage with stakeholders in all aspects of training to support business plans.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote Safe at Work culture.
