Job summary

MLG Oz is seeking a full-time Training Advisor to join our Learning & Development Team at Kalgoorlie. The role supports delivery of workplace training, assessments and competency development across mine site operations, with FIFO roster and day shifts.

The ideal candidate has FIFO mine site experience and proven training and assessment credentials, including Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. A strong focus on safety, record-keeping and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• FIFO mine site experience – Essential
• Demonstrated training and assessment experience within mining/civil operations
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety – Desirable
• Practical knowledge across mobile/ fixed plant operations in mining/civil or crushing environments
• Strong understanding of safe operating practices in mining environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer literacy and administrative capability
• High attention to detail and commitment to record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face structured training and workplace assessments
• Provide operational training and coaching to enhance capability and competency
• Conduct competency assessments across plant, equipment and operations
• Support development and maintenance of a skilled and competent workforce
• Maintain training and competency records
• Collaborate with site leadership, operational teams and L&D
• Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement across operations
• Ensure training and assessment activities meet compliance requirements
