Job summary

Mount Isa Skills Centre is seeking a Training Advisor to develop, maintain and deliver training materials to ensure Mount Isa Mines has a workforce that is trained and competent in foundation skills and knowledge required for their roles. The role comprises 75% interactive training delivery and assessment and 25% project work, including administration, compliance and training package review.

Qualifications

• Relevant training qualification (or ability to obtain).
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Demonstrated computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
• Collaborative spirit with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in developing and mapping training materials (desirable).
• Experience in the mining or heavy industry with operational experience.
• Self-starter attitude with effective task/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and assessment of G1 Introduction to Hazard ID & Risk Assessment and other site-specific training.
• Assist with development and review of training packages and documents in the HSEC Management System.
• Assist in creating simulated work environments for training and assessments at the Skills Centre.
• Actively participate in SafeWork programs and demonstrate a positive safety culture.
