Job summary

Anglo American’s Dawson Mine in Queensland seeks an experienced Mining Superintendent (Load & Haul) to provide strong site leadership for the Load & Haul team. The role reports to Operations Manager and ensures safe delivery of the mine plan with development of frontline leaders and alignment of people, equipment and resources.

The position suits an established Mining Superintendent or an experienced Co-Ordinator/Supervisor ready for greater accountability in a large mining operation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience delivering targets in open-cut coal mines.
• Must hold Mining Supervisor competency (G1, G8 & G9).
• Valid QLD Driver’s license (Open: C Class).
• Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining or on track to achieve this competency.

Responsibilities

• Lead production activities to meet targets safely and efficiently in accordance with procedures.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Technical teams to set production priorities and schedules.
• Guide and develop frontline leaders; coach team members for safety and performance.
• Maintain reporting and monitoring to ensure Mine Plan adherence and communicate changes.
