Job summary
Anglo American seeks an experienced Mining Superintendent (Load & Haul) to lead the Dawson Mine open-cut operation in Moura, QLD. You will provide clear leadership to the Load & Haul team, deliver the mine plan safely, and develop frontline leaders within a large, complex mining operation.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage production priorities, ensure compliance with safety and statutory procedures, and drive continuous improvement while aligning people and equipment to
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in open-cut coal mining.
- Must hold Mining Supervisor competency (G1, G8 & G9).
- Valid QLD Driver's license (Open: C Class).
- Trade certificate or tertiary degree in Mining Engineering is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead production activities to meet targets safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Technical and Support Services.
- Monitor and report on mine plan performance and risks.
- Develop frontline leaders and coach team members.
- Foster a proactive safety culture and incident prevention.
