Job summary

Anglo American Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD seeks an experienced Mining Superintendent (Load & Haul) to lead a large open-cut operation. You will drive production targets, safety culture and frontline leadership, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Ideal candidates bring coal mining supervision experience, relevant competencies, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic, residential/FIFO site.

Qualifications

• Leads a coal open-cut mining team to meet safe production targets.
• Holds Mining Supervisor competency (G1, G8 & G9) and relevant licences.
• Has or pursues Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining / OCEx; supports continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage production performance and schedules safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Technical and Support Services on priorities.
• Lead safety culture through toolbox talks and training; drive safety improvements.
• Develop frontline leaders and coach staff; ensure alignment with Mine Plan.
