Job summary

Vanguard Mining is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver mining and mineral processing equipment projects from award through to handover. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own scope, schedule, budget and quality across concurrent projects and act as the primary point of contact for clients during execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Proficiency with MS Project and established PM methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and close projects in line with the Project Delivery Framework, delivering to scope, schedule and budget.
• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders, and develop and maintain project execution plans covering schedules, budgets, resourcing and risk.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, run supplier progress meetings and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts and cashflow, control expenditure within delegated authority, and prepare cost variations and extension of time requests to clients.
• Lead project closure, including final inspections, financial close-out, spares lists and IOM handover to aftersales and site support teams.
