Job summary

Nexmin, a Perth-based engineering consultancy, is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects from concept to delivery within multidisciplinary teams. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality and client outcomes, while providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will drive client relationships, business development, and risk management across projects in mineral processing facilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in a Project Manager/Lead Engineer role.
• Proven track record across concept to handover phases.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing plant design.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across disciplines.
• Experience with mining clients, EPC/EPCM contractors and suppliers.
• Contract management and commercial delivery experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Safety, quality and project outcomes focused.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing engineering and project delivery activities from concept through to completion.
• Taking ownership of project scope, schedule, cost, quality and client outcomes.
• Providing technical and project leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Coordinating engineers, designers, suppliers and contractors.
• Identifying and managing project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Reviewing technical solutions and ensuring fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Supporting project planning, estimating, proposals and business development.
• Mentoring and developing engineers and team members.
• Collaborating with the broader technical leadership team.
• Contributing to Nexmin's project delivery capability.
