Job summary

Emeco is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to lead mining maintenance crews at Burton Mine, part of a new partnership with Argo Natural Resources. You will prioritise safety, coach team members and coordinate resources in a fast-paced site environment to support the Burton restart and achieve performance targets.

The role focuses on reliability, continuous improvement and strong leadership to drive maintenance outcomes on heavy earthmoving equipment at a premier Queensland coal site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with ability to set clear standards.
• Experience leading mining maintenance crews on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability and proactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a mining maintenance crew in a fast-paced site environment.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a strong safety culture across the team.
• Coordinate people, equipment and resources to deliver breakdown support, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
• Drive maintenance performance by ensuring schedules, priorities and KPIs are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Work closely with clients, operations and internal stakeholders to support site and organisational targets.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and mentoring to build capability and team performance.
