Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is seeking a Mechanical Coordinator (Underground Coal) to lead maintenance planning across our operations in Queensland. You’ll allocate personnel and equipment, set priorities and drive timely delivery to maintain safety, reliability and productivity.

The role requires a minimum of two years’ underground coal mining experience, a mechanical trade qualification or engineering degree, current supervisor qualifications, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Mechanical Coordinator in underground coal mining.
• Mechanical trade qualification or Engineering degree required.
• Current supervisor qualifications (G1, G2, G8, G9) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the allocation of people and equipment for mechanical maintenance.
• Set maintenance priorities and drive timely delivery across operations.
• Ensure activities meet safety, production, and environmental objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement and develop a high‑performing team.
