Job summary

Pivot Management is seeking a Mining Engineer for a site-based role focused on short term mine planning within an Open Cut Truck & Shovel operation in Queensland.

You will own daily to monthly scheduling, translate the life-of-mine plan into practical targets, and coordinate with operations, technical services, and survey teams to keep plans realistic, safe, and responsive during ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Site experience in short term planning within a truck and shovel operation.
• Hands-on scheduling capability using Spry, Deswick, Vulcan, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of open cut coal mining operations and short-interval constraints.
• Ability to work with operations, technical services and survey teams on site.
• Strong communication skills across site and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own short term scheduling for the truck and shovel operation.
• Translate life-of-mine plan into practical, achievable short-interval targets.
• Coordinate with operations and technical services to ensure plans are realistic, safe and responsive to pit conditions.
• Support the site through its ramp-up phase and monitor plan execution.
• Collaborate with survey teams to verify pit data and align production targets.
