Rapid Electrical Service is seeking multiple mining electricians to join our Mackay team. Roles include CHPP maintenance, shift relief, projects and general site work across Bowen Basin, with roster options like 4/3, 7/7 DIDO and 9-day fortnights.

Permanent full-time roles with $65–$75/hr, paid travel on roster days, overtime options and long-term job security. Work alongside experienced crews in a locally owned company that values safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Current LVR/CPR.
• Ability to work DIDO rosters across Bowen Basin.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Reliable work history and professional attitude.
• Good communication skills with clients and site teams.
• Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Hazardous Areas competency are beneficial.

We have a range of permanent roles available across CHPP maintenance, shift relief, projects and general site maintenance, with multiple roster options depending on the site and position.

Roster Options

Current opportunities include:

• 4 days on / 3 days off

• 7 days on / 7 days off DIDO

• 9-day fortnight (No Weekends)

• Additional shifts and overtime available for those wanting to increase their earnings

The Role

As part of Rapid's mining and industrial electrical team, you'll work across a range of Bowen Basin sites and projects.

Depending on your position, roster and site, your work may include:

• CHPP maintenance

• Shift relief coverage

• Breakdown and preventative maintenance

• Electrical installation and maintenance

• Fault finding

• Electrical work orders

• Mining infrastructure projects

• Lighting and power installations

• Switchboard installations and upgrades

• Testing and commissioning

• Project and shutdown work

• Site safety, environmental and quality requirements

You’ll work alongside experienced electricians and supervisors while having the autonomy to get on with the job, make decisions and take pride in delivering quality work.

The variety of sites and work means you'll continue to develop your electrical knowledge and experience while working with some of the region's leading mining operations.

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you will require:

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence

• Current Queensland Driver Licence

• Current LVR/CPR

• Ability to work DIDO rosters throughout the Bowen Basin

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Reliable work history and professional attitude

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and site teams
