Job summary

HS Maintenance is seeking two experienced High Voltage Electricians to join our team on a 7/7 rotating roster across Bowen Basin mine sites in Central Queensland. You’ll perform planned maintenance, breakdowns and shutdown work on electric mining equipment, including haul trucks and draglines.

Essential requirements include a Queensland Electrical Licence with HV qualifications, Standard 11, a Coal Board Medical, and a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
• High Voltage qualifications and experience desired.
• Standard 11.
• Coal Board Medical current.
• Australian Driver's Licence current.
• Ability to work safely within a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on electric mining equipment.
• Perform breakdown and shutdown work on heavy mining plant.
• Work across Bowen Basin mine sites on haul trucks, draglines and electric rope shovels.

High Voltage Electrician (7/7 Rotating Roster) | Bowen Basin

Join one of Central Queensland's growing mining electrical contractors.

With our continued growth HS Maintenance is looking for two experienced High Voltage Electrician to join our team on a 7/7 rotating roster across Bowen Basin mine sites.

You will have the option to remain at the one mine site.

If you've worked on electric haul trucks, draglines, electric rope shovels or other heavy mining plant, we want to hear from you.

Expressions of Interest are also open to subcontractors wishing to apply and ADHOC rosters are also available if something more flexible is more your style.

About the Role

Working across leading open-cut coal operations, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, breakdowns and shutdown work on some of the industry's largest electrical mining equipment.

Essential Experience

• Experience maintaining and fault-finding on electric mining equipment
• Experience working on Electric Haul Trucks
• Experience working on Draglines
• Experience with Electric Rope Shovels (highly regarded)
• HV maintenance and fault finding experience
• Strong understanding of mine site safety systems and procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• High Voltage qualifications and experience desired
• Standard 11
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to work safely within a high-performing maintenance team
