Job summary

Prime Mining is seeking Mine Surveyors for several roles with Tier 1 clients. Open cut coal positions are in Queensland's Bowen Basin on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Brisbane, and underground metals roles are in Regional WA on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you deliver the day to day survey work that keeps the mine plan on track. You own the accuracy of your data and the plans built from it, working with planning, geology and production teams each shift.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related field.
• A statutory mine surveying certificate will be highly regarded.
• Located near an airport and able to fly from Brisbane or Perth, depending on the role.
• Previous practical experience in open cut coal or underground metals mining in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day survey work and own data accuracy for mine plans.
• Support pit, dump, volumes, and month-end reconciliations for coal roles.
• Maintain headings and underground control for development and stope work.
• Process void scans for stope reconciliation and keep level plans up to date.
