Job summary

Ramelius Resources is seeking a Mine Surveyor for Mt Magnet and Cue operations. The role supports safe development and production with accurate, timely survey data and control networks. It is a 16-month fixed-term FIFO position from Perth.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will deliver survey data, set-outs, and QA/QC checks across open pit sites, contributing to overall mine design and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or degree in surveying is required.
• Experience in open pit mining environments preferred.
• Experience with mine survey software and UAV/drone surveying is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gather data to support Senior Mine Surveyor in generating whole of mine operation plans.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks within the open pit.
• Carry out daily surveys including pick-ups, pre-splits, blast hole patterns, and as-built surveys.
• Conduct end-of-month stockpile and pit volume surveys using drones or terrestrial equipment.
• Ensure survey data is captured, processed, and stored per site procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide accurate survey set-outs for pit designs, ramps, and infrastructure.
• Support drill and blast teams with pattern mark-ups and QA/QC checks.
• Ensure designs are implemented on the ground and communicate discrepancies.
• Install control in pit, crests, toe, ramps to ensure excavation per design parameters.
• Conduct pit wall, toe, and crest surveys to monitor geotechnical parameters.
