Job summary

Greatland Resources Limited is seeking a Safety & Training Coordinator to provide expert safety, training and compliance support across Telfer site operations. You will oversee safety initiatives, incident management, and training programs to ensure our people return home safely every day.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Health & Safety, you will influence site leaders and employees, coordinate site-wide training, and maintain training records and procedures in line with legislative

Qualifications

• Proactive safety professional with leadership and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and ICAM.
• WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
• Experience in safety/training roles within mining, resources or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site safety improvement initiatives and health and safety management systems.
• Provide specialist workplace health and safety advice to leaders, employees and contractors.
• Facilitate safety audits, inspections, hazard management activities and compliance reviews.
• Lead and support incident investigations, including ICAM-based investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain health and safety procedures in line with legislative and corporate requirements.
• Monitor compliance with statutory obligations, company policies and safe work practices.
• Analyse injury, incident and safety performance data and prepare reports for management.
• Oversee day-to-day activities and development of site Safety Advisers and Trainers.
• Develop and coordinate site-wide training and competency programs.
• Ensure induction, training and competency management systems for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Maintain training materials, assessments and records to support workforce capability.
• Build strong relationships with operational departments to promote safety culture.
