Job summary

Dyno Nobel Limited seeks a principal leader for Curragh site to provide leadership, coaching and support to supervisors and personnel across safety, operations, and cost performance. You will balance customer expectations with commercial outcomes while fostering Zero Harm culture.

Reporting to the General Manager - Coal Operations, you will lead a large team, engage with customers, and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence on site.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience delivering safe, compliant operations with a focus on people leadership.
• Blasting background with drill and blast knowledge.
• Current QLD Shotfirer Licence, S123 & G2 qualifications, and QLD Explosive Security Clearance.
• Tertiary qualification in Mining, Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations to ensure compliance with HSE standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coach, develop and support operational teams to deliver a high-performance culture.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and collaboration.
• Ensure delivery of products and services in line with contractual obligations.
• Drive operational performance, profitability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, reliability and asset management teams to optimise site performance.
