Job summary
Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operation seeks a Senior Safety Advisor to act as the site safety subject matter expert, providing visible field leadership, specialist advice, and hands-on support across a large, long-life mining operation.
You will lead incident investigations, drive proactive risk management, strengthen safety culture and ensure compliance with SHMS, while partnering with operational leaders and Safety Advisors to lift safety performance.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or Risk (essential).
- 5+ years in mining, metalliferous operations (OHS experience).
- Strong capability in incident investigations (ICAM) and risk controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead incident investigations, ICAM and root cause analysis.
- Drive proactive risk management and hazard ID activities.
- Strengthen safety culture and ensure SHMS compliance.
- Own safety campaigns, change management, and contractor safety.
- Provide visible field leadership and coach frontline teams.
- Engage stakeholders across departments to lift safety performance.
