Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Mine Scheduling Engineer to develop, maintain and optimise mine schedules across open-cut operations. You will work with planning, mining, geology and operations teams to ensure schedules are practical, safe and value-driven, with a focus on critical path activities and value optimisation.

The role requires experience in mine planning, strong technical capabilities and advanced Excel/data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mine planning and scheduling in open-cut mines.
• Proficient in mine planning principles and scheduling methods.
• Experience with Deswik, Vulcan, Spry or MineSched.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mine schedules and forecasts.
• Support critical path planning and schedule execution.
• Monitor schedule performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide scheduling analysis and reporting to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance priorities.
