Job summary

BHP is seeking a Mine Scheduling Engineer to join our talent pool for Bowen Basin opportunities. You will develop, maintain and optimise mine schedules that support safe, efficient mining operations, working with planning, mining, drill and blast, geology and operations.

Your role will involve analysing plan performance, supporting critical path activities and identifying opportunities to improve outcomes. Strong analytical skills and collaboration are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mine planning and scheduling in mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of planning principles and scheduling methodologies.
• Experience with Deswik, Vulcan, Spry, MineSched or similar tools.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mine schedules and forecasts.
• Support critical path planning and schedule execution.
• Monitor schedule performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide scheduling analysis and reporting for operational decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance priorities.
