Job summary

BHP Technology seeks a Development Supervisor to lead site operations at Saraji Mine in Central Queensland. This full-time role involves preventative maintenance and technical support for IT/OT systems on site, with a 7/7 Day Shift roster (DIDO/Residential).

You will supervise a team, manage resources, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure safe, reliable technology services across mine operations.

Qualifications

• Cert 3 or trade certificate in industrial wireless/industrial electrical disciplines.
• Familiar with Mining IT/OT, WiFi, servers and security apps.
• Proven safety track record in coal mining or similar.
• Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive in identifying improvements in technology systems management.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Takes ownership of ideas through to implementation.
• Builds effective relationships with customers and site teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Coal mine exposure is advantageous; SAP Work Management experience preferred.
• Unrestricted cabling licence preferred; training in safety disciplines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technology site operations with a hands-on leadership role.
• Coordinate tasks and resources to meet business priorities.
• Supervise network switches, servers, CCTV, SAP and ServiceNow work processes.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, projects and remote teams.
• Lead hazard identification and improvement opportunities for tech systems.
• Facilitate site-based project activities with safety and minimal disruption.
