Job summary

BHP Technology is seeking a Development Supervisor to support the Saraji Mine in Central Queensland. You will lead preventative maintenance and provide technical field support for IT/OT systems on site, with a hands-on focus on network infrastructure and safety processes.

This full-time, DIDO/Residential role operates on a 7/7 day shift roster (Wednesday to Tuesday) with flexibility for special requirements.

Qualifications

Cert 3, or Trade Certificate in Industrial Wireless Communications, Electronics or Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation.
Familiarity with Mining IT/OT networks, WiFi, servers and security applications.
Coal mine exposure would be advantageous.
Australian C class driver’s license and cabling licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Site Responsible Person for Technology on site (permanent and contractors) and ensures all works are carried within Safe Systems of Work in a changing work environment.
Manages and coordinates tasks and resources to ensure incidents and events can be resolved per business priorities.
Hands-on supervision with focus on network switches, servers, applications, CCTV, Physical Access Management, Digital and Analog Radio, WIFI, End User Compute, Wireless Telemetry System (WTS). SAP and Service Now are the work management software.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Project teams and remote teams to ensure effective IT/OT operations.
Work with technical specialists for field leadership, improvements, hazard identification and reporting.
Facilitate site-based project activities with Technology Service owner teams and Site Engineering to ensure safe execution and minimal disruption.
Investigate/scope requirements for project installations following site and Technology processes; manage change, standards, approvals, drawings, data, commissioning, documentation and training.
Act as escalation contact for Technology site operations issues.
