Job summary

BHP Technology is seeking a Development Supervisor to join the Saraji Mine operations in Central Queensland. This full-time, DIDO/Residential role on a 7/7 day shift roster will supervise preventative maintenance and provide field support for IT/OT systems across mine sites.

The supervisor will lead a hands-on team, manage network, servers, CCTV, and wireless tech while partnering with Production, Maintenance and Projects to ensure safe, reliable technology operations.

Qualifications

• Cert 3, or Trade Certificate in Industrial Wireless Communications, Electronics or Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation (or willing to undertake Cert 3 as part of role).
• Familiarity with Mining Communication Networks IT/OT, WiFi, Servers, Security Applications.
• Coal mining operational environment experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritise in high-pressure environment.
• Proactive in identifying improvements in Technology systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; builds relationships with stakeholders.
• Australian C class driver's license; open/unrestricted Cabling Licence preferable.

Responsibilities

• Site Responsible Person for Technology on site, ensuring Safe Systems of Work.
• Coordinate tasks and resources to meet business priorities.
• Hands-on supervision of network switches, servers, CCTV, Wi‑Fi, and related IT/OT services.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Projects and remote teams to sustain technology ops.
• Lead improvement opportunities, hazard reporting, and work management activities.
• Support project activities with safe execution and minimal disruption.
• Scope requirements for new installations, manage change, approvals, and documentation.
