Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join the Production team at Poitrel open cut mine near Moranbah, QLD. You will operate excavators to strip overburden and load coal and waste while following the mine plan and dispatch system.

Candidates must have proven excavator experience in open cut mining, Standard 11 induction and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain). Right to work in Australia, strong safety mindset and reliable team player are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators in an open cut mine with relevant tickets.
• Standard 11 (Coal Mining Induction) and a current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain them before starting
• Right to work in Australia
• Commitment to safety and the ability to follow procedures and speak up
• Reliability and a good team attitude

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators to strip overburden and load coal and waste into haul trucks
• Complete pre-start checks and report defects promptly
• Work to the mine plan, dig and bench standards, and ground conditions as directed by supervisors and the dispatch system
• Work closely with truck operators, dozer operators, drill and blast crews and supervisors to keep production flowing safely
• Identify and report hazards, near misses and ground control concerns, and stop work when something is not right
• Take care of your machine and your work area

Poitrel is an open cut metallurgical coal mine near Moranbah in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators to join our Production team.

You will:
