Job summary

Stanmore Resources is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for Poitrel mine in Queensland. You will operate excavators to strip overburden and load coal and waste, with strict adherence to safety procedures and mine plans.

Applicants should have open cut mining experience, Standard 11 induction, and a Coal Board Medical (or be willing to obtain them before starting). Right to work in Australia and a reliable, team-oriented approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators to strip overburden and load coal and waste into haul trucks.
• Complete pre-start checks and report defects promptly.
• Work to the mine plan, dig and bench standards, and ground conditions as directed by supervisors and the dispatch system.
• Work closely with truck operators, dozer operators, drill and blast crews and supervisors to keep production flowing safely.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses and ground control concerns, and stop work when something is not right.
• Take care of your machine and your work area.

Poitrel is an open cut metallurgical coal mine near Moranbah in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators to join our Production team.

You will:

• Safely operate excavators to strip overburden and load coal and waste into haul trucks
• Complete pre-start checks and report defects promptly
• Work to the mine plan, dig and bench standards, and ground conditions as directed by supervisors and the dispatch system
