Job summary

SG Fleet is seeking a Principal Architect to define architectural direction and governance across the technology landscape. You will guide modernisation efforts, oversee major programs and coach engineering teams to raise capability and delivery quality.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, evaluate emerging technologies, and maintain high standards for performance, security and scalability across SG Fleet Group globally.

Qualifications

• Teritary qualification in IT or related discipline is required.
• Extensive Miles platform experience including architecture, data model, integration and capabilities.
• Proven track record designing scalable, resilient solutions and configuring platform components.
• Experience defining architecture standards, solution patterns, governance and integration frameworks.
• Experience supporting major platform upgrades, transformations and modernisation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, SDLC, DevOps and lifecycle management.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring and capability uplift across engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority, defining architectural direction and target-state designs aligned with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and capability development across teams.
• Define and govern architecture standards, patterns, integration frameworks and guidelines.
• Drive technology modernisation, evaluate emerging tech and lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Provide governance across major programs, upgrades and complex transformations.
• Improve DevOps, release management, environments and lifecycle practices.
• Monitor platform health, performance, resilience and long-term sustainability.
• Build relationships with vendors, partners and stakeholders to support platform evolution.
