Job summary

SG Fleet is seeking a Principal Architect to define architectural direction and governance across the technology landscape. You will guide modernisation efforts, oversee major programs and coach engineering teams to raise capability and delivery quality.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, evaluate emerging technologies, and maintain high standards for performance, security and scalability across SG Fleet Group globally.

Qualifications

• Teritary qualification in IT or related discipline is required.
• Extensive Miles platform experience including architecture, data model, integration and capabilities.
• Proven track record designing scalable, resilient solutions and configuring platform components.
• Experience defining architecture standards, solution patterns, governance and integration frameworks.
• Experience supporting major platform upgrades, transformations and modernisation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, SDLC, DevOps and lifecycle management.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring and capability uplift across engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with stakeholder influence.

Job description

This position is responsible for acting as the principal technical authority within the technology domain, defining architectural direction, governing technical standards, and guiding the strategic evolution of technology platforms and solutions across the SG Fleet Group globally. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the role provides expert leadership across architecture, integrations, modernisation, and major strategic initiatives. Through governance, innovation, and capability development, the role drives best practice and ensures technology solutions continue to deliver sustainable business value.

Job Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Extensive Miles platform experience, with strong knowledge of its architecture, data model, configuration, integrations and platform capabilities
• Strong experience designing scalable, resilient and high-performing solutions within Miles
• Proven experience defining architecture standards, solution patterns, integrations and technical governance
• Experience supporting major platform upgrades, transformations and modernisation initiatives
• Strong understanding of enterprise/application architecture, SDLC, DevOps and application lifecycle management
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to uplift capability across engineering teams
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, vendors and technology partners
